The second meeting of the student scientific circle was held at the Department of Propaedeutics of Children’s Diseases on 17.10.2023. The meeting was attended by the assistant of the department and A.A. Shakirova, responsible for the work of the SNK, 2nd year students of the specialty “pediatrics”. Arnur Omirtaev, a student of group 3310, made a report on the topic “Crohn’s disease”. The presentation aroused great interest among the participants of the circle. During the report, Arnur explained in detail and clearly the essence and characteristics of this disease.
He began with the basic facts, telling that Crohn’s disease belongs to a group of inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, especially often affecting the small and large intestines. Symptoms of such a disease may include abdominal pain, diarrhea, spotting, weight loss and general weakness.
He also shared information about the possible causes of Crohn’s disease – a genetic predisposition, a violation of the immune system and the environment. He explained that the exact causes of the disease are still unclear and require further research.
Arnur explained that the treatment of Crohn’s disease usually involves a combination of pharmacological therapy, lifestyle changes and stress control.
At the end of the presentation, Arnur stressed the importance of awareness of Crohn’s disease and its consequences for those who are faced with this disease. He urged listeners to be supportive and sympathetic for people suffering from Crohn’s disease, and drew attention to the need to disseminate information about the disease for unhindered access to medical care.
Arnur’s presentation elicited good responses from students who were grateful for a clear and comprehensive explanation of the topic. His knowledge and passionate attitude to the problem of Crohn’s disease intrigued and inspired other students to conduct more in-depth research in this area.[/vc_column_text]
