On September 27, 2024, assistant of the Department of Propaedeutics of Children’s Diseases Rakhimbayeva Saltanat Zhanibekkyzy organized a curator’s hour with group 4404, specialty “Pediatrics” on the topic: Prevention of gambling addiction among students. The main goal of the curator’s hour was to provide students with information about the formation of a pathological addiction to gambling. In Kazakhstan, there are 360 ​​thousand people who participate in gambling and place bets. Gambling addicts are provided with free treatment and rehabilitation. Students familiarized themselves with the symptoms, stage of the course and classification of gambling addiction. Information was also given on treatment issues at the branch of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Mental Health in Pavlodar.
