On 18.10.2024, within the framework of the II International Med Congress “Man and Health. Multidisciplinary approach in medicine ” a master class on the topic “Differential diagnosis of hypochromic anemia in children” was held at the Department of Pediatrics, Medical Rehabilitation named after D.M. Tusupova of the National Academy of Sciences “Semey Medical University”. The lecturer at this event was invited by the head of the Department of Faculty Therapy, Deputy director of the Institute of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of ASMU Barnaul, Russia, PhD, associate professor, pediatrician of the highest category, hematologist of the highest category Dorokhov Nikolay Alekseevich.
The master class was attended by assistants of the Departments of Pediatrics, propaedeutics of childhood diseases, general practitioners, hematologists, pediatricians of practical healthcare, interns, residents of the National Academy of Medical Sciences.
In his speech, N.A. Dorokhov paid special attention to the key points of laboratory research and interpretation of the data obtained during the differential diagnosis of hypochromic anemia in children. He gave examples of rare forms of anemia, and also shared interesting clinical cases. Pediatricians, assistants of the department and residents presented indicative clinical cases of hematological diseases.
During N.A. Dorokhov’s master class, a consultation was held, several patients with hematological diseases and their parents were examined, and a conversation about prevention and treatment was held. During the master class, participants were asked questions about the therapy of anemia, the specifics of the use of drugs in clinical practice.
The master class aroused great interest among the participants, and the knowledge gained is important in the practical activities of pediatric doctors.
