In honor of the celebration of the Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the 4th year students of the Faculty of General Medicine of groups 4316 (subject “Military field surgery”) and 4206 (subject of surgical perioperative period) held an Olympiad on the topic “Tuy biik – tugan elim” at the Department of Hospital Surgery, Anesthesiology and Resuscitation of NAO “MUS”. Lecturer of PhD groups, acting associate professor Auyenov Medet Auyenuly.The purpose of the Olympiad is to increase students’ interest in the subject, create unity among university students, and improve the clinical thinking abilities of future doctors.

The competitionconsistedofseveralstages:

Stage 1 – “Determination of blood type”;

Stage 2 – “Interpretation of analyses”;

Stage 3 – “Applying Kramer’s tire”;

Stage 4 – “Tying surgical knots”.

At all stages, students actively participated and demonstrated their knowledge. The jury consists of PhD, Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Hospital Surgery S.T. Abdrakhmanov (remotely from the UK, scholarship holder of the international Bolashak program), assistant A.E. Masalov, resident A.A. Aitkaziev. According to the decision of the jury, the groups were distributed as follows: I place 4316, II place 4206.

Congratulating the winners and thanking them for their active participation in the Olympiad, the head of the Department of Hospital Surgery, Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, MD, Professor Meyrbek Zhaksybekovich Aimagambetov presented certificates of honor to the best students and groups.
