Psycho-training for listeners of ‘Silver University’ programme

On October 16, 2024 in the framework of the programme ‘Silver University’ associate professor of the department of general education disciplines Gizatullina A.G., teacher of the department of general education disciplines Zhakupbekova E.A. and psychologist of the university Nuriden G.E. held the first meeting of the listeners of ‘Silver University’ and conducted psychological training. The purpose of psychological training, which is held every week: active motivation for the development of emotional intelligence, teaching older people cognitive activity, logical thinking, group cohesion, overcoming force-majeure unforeseen life situations.

One of the key tasks of the training was to help participants get to know each other and create a friendly environment. For this purpose, various games and exercises for getting to know each other were conducted. The participants actively participated by sharing their stories, interests and hobbies. The atmosphere was filled with positivity and support, which facilitated networking among the participants.

We were pleased to see participants taking the initiative, asking questions and expressing what else they would like to learn. Topics such as maintaining psycho-emotional health, developing cognitive skills and ways to be active in the community were discussed. This shows that older people are interested in self-development and quality communication, which is an important aspect of their lives.

The training was a meaningful event that showed how important it is to keep older people active and involved in social processes. We hope that such meetings will be continued and the participants of the Silver University will be able to gain new knowledge, develop communication skills and find like-minded people.
