A round table on flu vaccination among pregnant women was held in Polyclinic No. 2. Our department also took part in this event. Assistants of the Department of Propaedeutics of Children’s Diseases Rakhimbaeva S.Zh. and Sakym D.G. gave lectures on the advantages and safety of vaccinations. This event brought together doctors, obstetricians, pediatricians and expectant mothers themselves who wanted to understand the current issues of immunoprophylaxis.
Participants discussed the reasons why many pregnant women refuse vaccination. The main factors were fear of side effects, lack of information and the influence of social networks. Medical experts provided scientific data on the safety of vaccinations for mothers and their children, refuted myths and dispelled fears.
Doctors emphasized the importance of vaccination during pregnancy to form immunity in newborns. They urged expectant mothers to be actively interested in their health and consult with medical specialists. Each participant in the round table received memos with recommendations and addresses where they could contact for more complete information.
