The practical lesson was conducted according to the Model Curriculum and Calendar Plan of the discipline of the OOD cycle ‘Information and Communication Technologies’.
In the course of the lesson the models of cloud services, architecture of cloud systems, key platforms and tools for the use of cloud and mobile applications were considered. The class was conducted in the format of ‘flipped classroom’ (‘flipped classroom’), the theoretical material independently learnt in advance by the students was discussed together with the teacher. Each student had an opportunity to present his/her opinion on the learnt material. The teacher provided visual materials in the format of a video lesson with a step-by-step algorithm of work performance and handouts for each student.
During the practical tasks, an interactive method of Peer-teaching – a method of mutual checking and mutual learning – was applied, which allowed students to learn practical skills more effectively. As a result, the students learnt how to work with Google services and how to create online surveys and tests.
At the end of the session, formative assessments were announced to the students and feedback was received using the electronic padlet board.
