On 11/20/2024, on the basis of the Department of Nursing, a city chess tournament among the elderly of the Semey city «The Genius of Chess» was held. Representatives of the following organizations took part in the city tournament: «Medical and social institution for the elderly and disabled of the general type of Semey», KGP on the PCV «Center for Public Consent – regional House of Friendship” of the state institution «Department of Public Development of the Abai region», KSU «Center for special social services and active longevity No. 3 of Semey region Abai».

The participants and prize-winners of the tournament were awarded with diplomas and commemorative prizes. For the tournament, 2nd year students of the Faculty of General Medicine were involved as volunteers. The tournament was organized by the Department of Nursing of the NAO «Semey Medical University» together with LLP “Polyclinic of mixed type No. 6».
