Students’ participation in conferences is an integral part of the educational process and allows them to present the results of their scientific work to the professional community. This experience cannot be overestimated, as it is important for the comprehensive development of a specialist. Involvement in scientific work allows the student to reveal their intellectual and creative potential. Ultimately, this contributes to the development of the graduate’s competence as a “research scientist” and helps the student decide on the choice of a medical specialty in the long term.

On November 29, 2024, the XIV International Scientific and Practical Internet Conference “Health Status: Medical, Social and Psychological-Pedagogical Aspects” was held, organized by the Transbaikal State University and the Regional Center for Inclusive Education, Chita, Russian Federation. The conference languages ​​are Russian and English. 3rd, 4th and 5th year students of the Foreign Department of the Semey Medical University made oral presentations online in real time. In the section “Medical and Social Aspects”, the following presented their reports: Kumar Mahendra (5th year), Rahul Choudhary (4th year), Kolkkaran Iilyas Jan (4th year), Dilnas Jan (4th year), Faisal Farooq (3rd year), Atkah Khurshid (3rd year). In the section “Psychological and Pedagogical Aspects”, 3rd year students Gazanfar Nisar and Kishan Patel presented their works. The reports aroused interest among the audience. Questions were asked, to which the students gave detailed answers. The moderators of the sections highly appreciated the significance and quality of the presented scientific works. All speakers and their scientific consultants were awarded certificates.

Gratitude is expressed to the teachers of the SMU, NCJSC, under whose supervision the reports were prepared: senior lecturer of the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics Mukasheva Gulbarshyn Darynkyzy, lecturer of the Department of Anatomy, Histology and Topographic Anatomy named after Professor N.A. Khlopov Kovylina Regina Aleksandrovna, Dean of the School of Foreign Students Balashkevich Natalia Aleksandrovna.
