In the period from 04 to 13 December of the current year for students of 4,5 course of specialty “General Medicine”, interns of 6 course of specialty “General medical practice” and residents-specialty “Infectious diseases adults, children” winter school “HIV-infection” was held. Organizers – teachers of the department of children’s infectious diseases (Mansurova A.A., Dәlelkanova T.D., Smailov E.S., Kumarbekova A.K.) and the department of infectious diseases, dermatovenerology and immunology (Tokayeva A.Z., Kuznetsova M.V., Maukayeva S.B., Akhmetova A.K., Zhokebayeva M.S.). Head of the school – Head of the Department of pediatric infectious diseases Efendiyev I.M.

The winter school was held in a mixed format. A total of 90 trainees participated.

The purpose of the winter school was to deepen knowledge and skills on HIV infection in adults and children.

The school was also attended by infectious disease doctors from the Abay region.

The program of the winter school included the following issues: HIV infection in adults and children, clinic, skin manifestations, differential diagnosis, laboratory diagnosis, therapy tactics, prevention, HIV counseling. Every day the school participants asked questions and received comprehensive answers.

The listeners thanked the head of the Department of children’s infectious diseases Efendiyev I.M. and all the organizers for holding the winter school.
