On January 20, 2025, students of group 3337 from the Faculty of “General Medicine” participated in a curatorial session on the topic “Ludomania and Gambling.” The session was led by the group’s curator, senior lecturer of the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, PhD Gulbarshyn Darynkyzy Mukasheva.
During the event, the causes and consequences of gambling addiction, its impact on mental and physical health, as well as prevention methods and possible solutions were discussed. Students actively engaged in the discussion, asked questions, and shared their thoughts on the subject.
The curatorial session allowed students to gain a deeper understanding of the importance of the ludomania issue and its impact on society, as well as highlighted the role of medical professionals in identifying and preventing this disorder.
