On January 20, 2025, students of the 5411th group, under the leadership of the head of the Department of GP A.A. Dusupova and the curator S.M. Adilgozhina, PhD, held a round table dedicated to discussing the topical topic of gender equality in modern society. The main purpose of this event was to raise students’ awareness of the importance of gender equality, to develop respect for the rights and opportunities of every person, regardless of their gender, as well as to create a culture of equality.
During the round table, the participants considered key aspects related to gender equality, namely:
- Historical stages of the formation of the principle of equal rights of men and women.
- Modern challenges and stereotypes related to gender discrimination.
- The role of education and upbringing in promoting the idea of equality.
- Everyone’s personal contribution to the creation of a society where justice and equal opportunities are valued.
Curator Saltanat Muratbekovna noted that the promotion of gender equality is an important component of the sustainable development of society, and stressed that young people play a key role in the fight against bias and stereotypes. The discussion took place in the format of an open discussion, which allowed each student to express their opinion and ask questions. Multimedia materials were used during the event, including presentations and videos highlighting examples of successful achievement of gender equality in different countries. The warm and open atmosphere facilitated the active interaction of the participants, the exchange of ideas and the development of joint conclusions.
The round table became a platform for deep reflection on the importance of gender equality, its impact on the development of the individual and society. The participants emphasized that a harmonious and just future is possible only with respect for the rights and freedoms of every human being.
