Nutrition of young children

Nutrition of young children

Nutrition of newborns plays a key role in their health, growth and development. It is the basis for forming a solid foundation and a key factor in their overall health and well-being. It promotes proper physical, psycho-emotional and cognitive development, helps the child adapt to the outside world, strengthens their immune system and reduces the risk of many diseases in the future. Therefore, a competent approach to choosing nutrition for a newborn is the basis for a healthy and happy life for the baby.

Informing about the organization of exclusive breastfeeding and the principles of complementary feeding within the framework of the program “Universal Progressive Model of Patronage” is an important component of the work of family doctors and pediatricians, which allows for timely identification of problems in the organization of balanced nutrition of young children and the necessary consultation. This knowledge and competencies are also useful for GP interns, many of whom already have life experience as parents by the 6th-7th years.

In the format of the School of Preventive Medicine on the topic “Module No. 3.1 – “Breastfeeding” and Module 3.2 – “Complementary feeding” another training was held, which touched upon current issues that are important for the health of children and their parents. Interns-GPs of group 718 took an active part in the preparation and holding of the School . The training included two stages. During the first stage, interns shared with participants key recommendations on proper feeding of newborns. The stage focused on providing participants with relevant and practical knowledge that they could apply in their practice or in their lives. In the second stage, a quiz was held to make the training more interactive and dynamic. This approach not only checks the assimilation of the material, but also creates an atmosphere of engagement.

The School of Preventive Medicine was prepared and conducted under the supervision of the head of the department, professor Dyusupova A.A., and the department staff: Faizova R.I., Terekhova T.I., Khismetova A.M., Belyaeva T.M., Kamasheva G.T., Yurkovskaya O.A., Dosbaeva A.M., Akhmetova V.T., Dzharmukhametova A.S.
