Report on the master class “Psychology of color”

In order to carry out educational work, instill moral and aesthetic education and upbringing, for the development and promotion of psychoeducation among students, according to the plan of the university and the department on the basis of the College of Business and Service, for students of the specialties of “Design”, “Industrial Design”, “Hairdressers” by the assistant of the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology, PhD Sarsembina Zh.On February 7, 2025, a master class “Psychology of color” was held. 55 students took part in the Master class.

The psychology of color is the study of the influence of colors on the mental and intellectual state of a person.

Basic principles of color psychology:

The symbolic meaning of flowers. Each color has cultural and historical associations that influence its perception.
The emotional impact of colors. Colors can trigger certain emotional reactions. For example, red color stimulates, excites and increases energy levels, while blue calms and promotes concentration.
The physiological effect of colors. Some colors can affect physiological processes by regulating heart rate and breathing.
Psychological associations. Each person may have their own unique associations with certain colors based on personal experiences and memories.
The students were presented with various scientific theories of color psychology, as well as practical recommendations from the standpoint of physiology, neurophysiology, psychology, and communication skills. During the discussions and discussions, the lecturer answered questions, conducted several tests and trainings.
