Cancer is a whole group of diseases, they are characterized by uncontrolled mutation of abnormal cells that can spread throughout the body. Oncological diseases are characterized by a high mortality rate, but this is usually due to late seeking medical help, when the pathology is already difficult to treat. That is why cancer prevention is so important, because it helps to prevent the appearance of a malignant process, and if detected – to increase the chances of absolute recovery.

Primary cancer prevention

It is aimed mainly at leading a healthy and active lifestyle, as well as the exclusion of all dangerous factors that can cause the appearance of malignant neoplasms.

Secondary prevention

It consists of a number of important measures that are aimed at early detection of cancer, which ensures the effectiveness of treatment.

Tertiary prevention

It is provided for those people who have already been cured of cancer. Cancer prevention is based on a series of recommendations aimed at preventing recurrences.

13.02.2025 y. under the guidance of the head of the department, DMS, Professor Dyusupova A.A., the staff of the Department of GMP of Semey c. teachers Hismetova A.M., Faizova R.I., Belyaeva T.M., Kamasheva G.T., T.I. Terekhova, cooperation with the PCC № 12 of Semey city and interns of 720 group was organized and conducted School of preventive medicine with the population on the topic  “Prevention of cancer”. The interns demonstrated the technique of breast examination to the students. Patients received comprehensive answers to their questions. After the discussion of the material, the attendees received booklets containing the main issues of prevention and early diagnosis of oncopathology.
