On 17.02.25, a curatorial hour on ludomania and its prevention among young people was held among 3526 students. Ludomania (or gambling addiction) is a pathological attraction to gambling. The students got acquainted with the presentation on this topic and expressed their thoughts about the emergence of addiction in people. It was discussed that young people immerse themselves in the world of gambling for the sake of the thirst for “easy” money, trying to escape reality due to constant stress. No one is immune from gambling, and people from any social class and living situation can fall into their trap. Ludomania has severe consequences for a person’s personal and social life: loss of trust among loved ones, serious financial and psychological problems. The students came to the conclusion that in case of life problems, in no case should you try to drown them out with gambling, but you should contact a specialist who will support and provide real help.
