On February 17, 2025, the assistants of the “Urology” discipline, M.N. Akkaliev and S.S. Bukharieva, held a class on the topic “Ludomania, Narcotic Opioid Addiction, and Harassment,” aimed at raising awareness among students about serious social and psychological issues.Ludomania is a pathological addiction to gambling, which leads to the destruction of personal, family, and financial relationships. It is important to understand how to recognize the signs of ludomania in time and what measures can be taken for treatment.Narcotic opioid addiction is an addiction to opioids, such as heroin and other drugs, that causes strong physical and psychological dependence. The consequences for health, social life, and rehabilitation methods are discussed.Harassment is a form of violence when a person is subjected to sexual harassment or discrimination in the workplace or educational institutions. Methods of preventing harassment, supporting victims, and the importance of creating a safe environment are discussed.The goal of the class is to teach students how to recognize the signs of these issues and to help them learn how to prevent or seek help if needed.
