On 20.02.2025, Vice-rector for Academic and Educational Work of the SMU NCJSC Smailova Zhanargul Kayyrgalievna met with students of the 1st year of all educational programs. During the meeting, the vice-rector said that students are the face of our University and it is necessary to observe the appropriate appearance and standards of behavior both inside and outside the university. The observance of moral and ethical standards and the neat appearance of our students directly shape the overall appearance and image of the educational institution.
Zhanargul Kayirgalievna also noted that the university has recently joined the League of Academic Integrity, and in this regard, it is very important to observe academic integrity and prevent any forms of wrongdoing, fraud and corruption. The Vice-rector warned students not to be manipulated by fraudsters offering to buy so-called exam test questions for passing examination sessions and final state attestation. Leakage of exam material is impossible!
Special emphasis was placed on fake information about the transfer to a vacant educational grant. Transfer to an educational grant is possible only if there is a vacancy. Only students with the highest GPA have a chance to transfer to a vacant educational grant. The transfer is carried out on a competitive basis at a meeting of the Academic Council of the University in accordance with the Law of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the rules for awarding an educational grant and the regulations on transfer to a vacant educational grant. Therefore, the information about the grant sale is false. If you receive such offers from someone, you must contact the dean’s office and the university’s security service.
Violating the rules of academic integrity has serious consequences. Students caught in such actions are disciplined in the form of a severe reprimand or expulsion without the right to reinstatement.
In conclusion, the Vice-rector noted that an honest and responsible approach to learning, striving for high results, not only help to develop professionally, but also are the key to successful learning and the formation of a positive image of the university.
