Round Table Discussion on Changes in the Standard for Organizing Medical Rehabilitation

On January 24, 2025, a round table discussion was held at the Department of Pediatrics and Medical Rehabilitation, based in the Rehabilitation and Abilitation Center for Persons with Disabilities in the Abay Region. The event focused on discussing changes to the standard for organizing medical rehabilitation, approved by Order No. 65 of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 7, 2023, with amendments introduced by Order No. 109 dated December 20, 2024.

The event was led by the head of the department, PhD A. R. Alimbayeva, and department assistant E. E. Dairbekov. Residents of the specialty “Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation,” from the 1st and 2nd years, participated in the round table.

The main part of the event was a presentation prepared by 2nd-year residents, which visually demonstrated the differences between the old and new versions of the standard. Key changes were highlighted, including what was added, removed, and updated to improve the medical rehabilitation process.

Following the presentation, there was an active discussion involving all residents and faculty. Participants emphasized the significance of the changes for improving the quality of medical care and discussed issues related to their practical implementation in clinical practice.

Such events contribute to enhancing the knowledge and skills of future specialists in rehabilitation medicine and enable active engagement with current updates.

The Department of Pediatrics and Medical Rehabilitation expresses gratitude to all participants for their productive discussion and high level of activity!
