«Open Day» to attract 7th year interns of the specialty «General Medicine» to residency in the specialty «7R01123-Pediatric Surgery»
On April 29, 2024, the Department of Traumatology and Pediatric Surgery held an open day for interns of the specialty «General Practitioner» studying in the cities of Semey, Pavlodar and Ust-Kamenogorsk. The event took place offline and online on the Zoom platform.
The purpose of the event is to attract interns to residency in the specialty «7R01123-Pediatric Surgery».
The interns were given a presentation assistant of the department Tuktiyeva Nazym with the history of the department, the employees of the department, their scientific priorities, achievements and equipment of the department.
The presentation highlighted the reasons for entering residency in this specialty:
current profession of the future using modern methods of treatment and examination;
residency graduates are always employed and in demand;
the opportunity to continue studies in doctoral, master’s programs – teaching staff of the department will always help you choose a topic and offer guidance/consultation;
organization of academic mobility of residents to foreign countries and other cities of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
participation in scientific and practical conferences and projects, selection of scientific supervisors at the request of students;
a settled and friendly team of employees of the department and department of the clinical base, who are always ready to support the resident.
At the event, the interns visited the operating unit, where the head teacher of the department, Alikenov Kazbek Kuandykovich, familiarized themselves with the structure and work of the operating unit.
They also participated in the planning meeting of the pediatric surgery department with the doctors of the department, which was held by PhD Aubakirov Marat Tokanovich, Zharkimbaeva Almira Dalelevna, Gamzaeva Esmira Mansurovna.
The head of the surgical department of the children’s hospital of the UG NAO “MUS” Kanap’yanov Zhalgas Kamilevich was invited to the event, who presented the work of the surgical and traumatology departments, the work of the emergency room, the operating unit, procedure and dressing rooms.
Resident pediatric surgeon Galymzhan Bakuashev took an active part in the preparation and holding of this event.
