As part of the Clinician’s School program, a training session on the topic “ Functional Dyspepsia and Chronic Gastritis ”, was held on February 3, 2025, at the MSE on PVC “Polyclinic №3 of Pavlodar City” under the guidance of the Head of the Department of GP, Professor A.A. Dyusupova, and academic advisor, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor S.M. Adilgozhina.
Diseases of the upper gastrointestinal tract are highly prevalent and have not only medical but also social significance, as they often manifest in young, working-age individuals. A crucial aspect of optimizing the management of patients with dyspepsia is distinguishing between functional dyspepsia (FD) and Helicobacter pylori-associated dyspepsia. During the session, key issues were discussed, emphasizing not only the importance of ruling out organic gastrointestinal pathology as a cause of secondary dyspepsia but also the need for diagnostic evaluation to verify Helicobacter pylori and determine its etiological role in dyspepsia development. The classification of functional dyspepsia into two clinical subtypes is justified in terms of therapeutic approaches to managing this condition.
