As part of the Preventive Medicine School at the MSE on PVC “Polyclinic №3 of Pavlodar City”, on February 17, 2025, a sanitary bulletin on the topic “Measles Prevention” was developed under the guidance of the Head of the Department of GP, Professor A.A. Dyusupova, and academic advisor, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor S.M. Adilgozhina.
The bulletin provides essential information about measles, including its incubation period, main symptoms, complications, and prevention measures. Measles is an infectious disease that can cause serious complications, including fatal outcomes. Anyone without immunity to the measles virus (those who are unvaccinated or have not developed immunity) is at risk of contracting the disease. Vaccination is the most effective measure to combat measles. The measles vaccine for children is usually administered together with the mumps vaccine (as part of the combined measles-mumps vaccine) and the rubella vaccine. Routine childhood immunization is carried out at the ages of 1 year and 6 years. Adults who have never had measles, have not been vaccinated, have received only one dose of the measles vaccine, or lack documented evidence of vaccination are vaccinated up to the age of 35. This bulletin serves as an informational resource for the population.
