On February 21, a meeting with interns took place at the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery named after B.S. Bulanov on the basis of the UH SMU, NCJSC, at the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery named after B.S. Bulanov as part of the department’s Open Day. The event was attended by teachers, residents of the 4th degree in the specialty “Angiosurgery for adults, children” and interns. The head teacher of the department conducted a tour of the Department of cardiovascular Surgery of the UH SMU, NCJSC, the operating blocks, told about the achievements and capabilities of the department aimed at training qualified specialists in the educational residency program in the specialty “Angiosurgery adult, children” and “Cardiac surgery adult, children”, which is carried out taking into account the needs of the market of medical services to the population In the Abai region, as well as in all regions of the Republic in the medical personnel of the relevant profile.

In the cardiovascular department of the UH SMU, NCJSC, which is one of the main bases for training residents in the specialty “Adult, pediatric Cardiac surgery”, clinical mentor – head of the department Salmenbaev E.A., during the meeting, interns were interested in the special specifics of the work of a cardiac surgeon, its relevance, with an emphasis on competencies and qualification characteristics which should be possessed by a cardiac surgeon. Bulanova Zhuldys, a resident of the 2th year of study, spoke about the organization of the educational process, prospects and methods of assessment in this specialty, shared positive feedback. Interns showed interest in this specialty and asked questions.
