School of Preventive Medicine for Arterial Hypertension: a step towards health and longevity

Arterial hypertension is a chronic disease that leads to an increase in blood pressure, and if left unchecked, it can lead to serious health consequences. However, despite its prevalence, hypertension often goes unnoticed until complications such as stroke, heart attack, or kidney failure appear. Blood pressure monitoring and timely intervention can significantly reduce risks and improve quality of life.

In order to raise awareness and a competent approach to the treatment of hypertension, on 27/02/2025 at the Department of General Medical Practice in Semey under the guidance of the head of the Department, MD, Professor A.A. Dyusupova, staff of the Department of GMP in Semey, Teachers of Foreign Languages Department Jarmukhametova A.S.  and Amangeldi M.K., together with the Primary Health Care Center №12 in Semey city and school of arterial hypertension was organized and conducted with interns 723 groups. The School of Preventive Medicine on the topic: “Prevention of arterial hypertension”.

Attending an Arterial Hypertension School offers patients and their loved ones valuable knowledge and practical recommendations on effective blood pressure control. As part of the classes, the participants:

  • Learn about the mechanisms of hypertension occurrence and development.
  • They master modern methods of diagnosis and treatment.
  • Receive recommendations on lifestyle changes, including diet and physical activity.
  • Learn how to measure blood pressure correctly and interpret the results.

The hypertension School is a real opportunity for every patient to receive useful information that will help reduce risks and improve the quality of life. During the School session, the patients received answers to their questions, and individual recommendations were offered. The participants also received information booklets with the necessary information about the disease, its prevention, recommendations on nutrition and physical activity.
