The Department of Dental Disciplines and Maxillofacial surgery, together with the Kazakhstan Dental Association, organized and held the republican scientific and practical conference “Topical issues of Dentistry” for faculty members of the department, doctors of practical healthcare, residents, interns, students specializing in Dentistry at the junction of the trinity of education, science and practice.

The main goal of the conference was to consolidate the possibilities of practical medicine and education for the further development of dentistry, the introduction of advanced innovations and solving problematic issues. At the conference, employers and representatives of practical healthcare raised topical issues of practical healthcare, issues of training competitive personnel. The employers expressed their opinion and gave feedback on the quality of training for young specialists from among residents and interns. Leading experts from Astana, Almaty, and Semey made presentations. Special attention was paid to the current state of the healthcare system and the organization of medical and dental care in the face of global challenges, the latest advances in dentistry, and modern approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of dental diseases.
