On February 25, 2025, the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology conducted career guidance events to familiarize and attract 11th grade students to the State University “Secondary Education School No. 47” of the Department the city of Semey of the Department of Education of the Abai

region in the NCJSC “MUS”.

In their speech, they informed the students about the full information on the dynamic infrastructural development of the NCJSC “Semey Medical University”, the intensive growth of its educational, scientific and innovative potential. The students of school No. 47 got well acquainted with the medical university and consciously approached the choice of profession. This contributed to a better understanding of the requirements for training and professional activity in the field of medicine.

Semey Medical University has been successfully implementing an academic mobility program for students for a long time.  35 students have completed academic mobility abroad since January 2024 (all full-time). Countries: Russia, Uzbekistan.

Our university has a department of military training. The purpose of teaching the department is to train reserve medical officers for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The students of school No. 47 gained a clear understanding of the process of obtaining medical education, as well as realized the difficulties and responsibilities associated with working as a doctor, as well as the prospects and opportunities that open up in a medical career.

The profession of a doctor is an honorable, noble and very responsible business for the preservation of the health of the citizens of our Republic of Kazakhstan!
