Gender-Based Violence – How to Resist It

Gender–based violence is a form of violence directed against a person because of their gender or gender identity. It manifests itself in various forms: physical (beatings, injury), sexual (rape, harassment), psychological (threats, humiliation, control) and economic (limitation of financial resources, prohibition of work). The main causes include gender stereotypes, inequality, and a culture of violence, with consequences such as physical and mental injury, reduced quality of life, and social isolation.

To combat this problem, a comprehensive approach is needed: information campaigns, strengthening legal protection, support for crisis centers and rehabilitation of victims. Gender–based violence is a serious social problem that requires active intervention and public awareness.
