The students visited 11 themed halls of “Abai. The Seasons”, “Steppe Melody”, “Abai’s childhood”, “becoming a poet”, “Abai’s creativity”, “Abai’s poetry school”, “Abai’s family”, “Words of edification”, “Abai’s legacy”, “multimedia hall”, “children’s room”, where materials reflecting everyday life are provided and the ethnographic life of the Kazakh people, various documents, objects, works of hand and fine art, the handwritten heritage of poets who lived during that period, photographs, rare books, etc. During the organization of the Semipalatinsk Museum of Local Lore, exhibits dedicated to the traditions of the Kazakh people, the art of the nomadic people, which Abai handed over with his own hands, were presented. The variety of exhibits indicates that Abai Kunanbayev systematically collected objects, scientifically approaching the comprehensive reflection of the ethnography of the Kazakh people.

Museums are treasures of history, culture and art. They offer a unique opportunity to plunge into other eras and learn something new in the history and ethnography of the Kazakh people.  The emotions received in the museum leave a deep imprint on the memory and allow you to look at ordinary things through the prism of world and historical masterpieces, such as Uly Abai.

During the excursion, students got acquainted with the exhibited archival documents, Abai’s signature, the handwritten heritage of his contemporaries, photographs of Abai’s era, rare books, periodicals, as well as works of fine art and ethnographic relics. The trip to the museum was very educational and left a lasting impression on the students.
