Visit to the Abai Museum – Spiritual and cultural development

February 14, 2025 Assistant of the Department of “Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases” Kaidarova S.B. Together with the curatorial group visited the State Historical, Cultural and Literary Memorial Museum-Reserve of Abay Zhidebai-Borili. The State Historical and Cultural and Literary-Memorial Museum-Reserve of Abai Zhidebai-Borili is a unique cultural and historical site that preserves the heritage of the great Kazakh poet and philosopher Abai Kunanbayev. The museum-reserve is an important center for the preservation and promotion of Kazakhstan’s cultural heritage. Its exhibitions feature numerous artifacts related to Abai’s life and works, as well as the cultural traditions of the Kazakh people of that time. This place attracts tourists and researchers from all over the world who seek to better understand Abai’s philosophy and art, his contribution to Kazakh literature, music, and social ideas. The uniqueness of this museum complex lies in the fact that, in addition to the main exhibition related to Abai’s personality, there are also preserved memorial sites connected to his family and surroundings. The complex includes a house-museum, monuments, as well as the grave of the great poet and his family. All these elements allow for a deeper understanding of how Abai’s cultural and intellectual heritage intertwines with the nature and spirit of this region. The Abai Zhidebai-Borili Museum-Reserve serves as an important symbol of Kazakh identity, constantly reminding of the greatness and universality of the ideas left by Abai, who always emphasized the values of morality, reason, and spiritual enlightenment.
