On March 4, 2025, the Department of Biochemistry and Chemical Disciplines named after Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor S.O. Tapbergenov held a city Olympiad in chemistry among 1st-year students of the Pharmacy program and students of the MEDICAL FOUNDATION course.

The purpose of this event was to increase students’ interest in studying chemistry, identify the most capable, promote scientific knowledge, and support the intellectual development and professional orientation of students.

The Olympiad was held in Russian and consisted of three rounds: Round 1 – “Who is faster?” questions and answers; Round 2 – “Knowledge test” group test; Round 3 – “Secret cells”. The team consisted of five students.

The head of the department, PhD Sovetov B.S., made a welcoming speech. The members of the jury of the Olympiad were: Olzhaeva R.R., PhD in Biology, Acting Associate Professor of the department, Dinzhumanova Raushan Tleugazinovna, PhD in Chemistry, Associate Professor of the department, Sherizatova B.A., Master of Pedagogical Sciences, Lecturer of the department.

While the jury members were counting the points and determining the winner, a small game was organized with the spectators and fans: “Question and Answer”.

Based on the results of the Olympiad, winners were determined who received diplomas of 1st and 2nd degree. All participants received certificates for active participation.

Based on the results of the Olympiad, the following winners were determined:

1st place – the team of the 1st year of the OP “Pharmacy”,

2nd place – students of the course “MEDICAL FOUNDATION”.
