As part of clinical work, on February 21, 2025, a clinical seminar was held at the GCH of NPJSC “Semey Medical University” with 25 endocrinologists and general practitioners from the city of Semey, supported by the company BCM “Berlin-Chemie Menarini.” The seminar focused on the topic “Thioctic Acid in the Prevention and Treatment of Diabetic Polyneuropathy in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.” The chief freelance endocrinologist of the Abay region, S.U. Smagudova, served as the moderator. The seminar covered key topics, including risk factors, types, statistics, clinical manifestations, treatment approaches, and a clinical case study.
