On Saturday, 22.02.2020, in the hostel 1 NPO “Medical University of Semey” was held an educational event on the theme “About Homeland, about courage, about fame”. The event organized by the assistant of the department of internal diseases teaching Kaidarova S.B. under the supervision of the head of the department Amrenova K.S. and with the participation of the assistants of the department Zhazykbaeva L.K., Kanapiyanova B.E., Amanghalieva G.M., Rakymgazieva A.S. and together with the curatorial and foreign groups of 3-year students.

The event was aimed at forming in students a sense of patriotism, respect for their country’s history and pride in the exploits of heroes. The following activities were carried out:

• Thematic talks: The department’s assistants held talks about the significance of the Motherland in the life of each person, about the heroism and courage of the defenders of the Fatherland, as well as about the glorious pages of the history of Kazakhstan.
• Presentations and reports: Students prepared and presented presentations and reports dedicated to outstanding personalities and significant events in the history of the country.
• Discussion of films and books: The organizers proposed for discussion thematic films and books dedicated to the theme of patriotism and heroism.
• Victoria: At the end of the event, a quiz on the knowledge of the history of Kazakhstan was held, which demonstrated the high level of knowledge and interest of students.

The event was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, helped to strengthen mutual understanding between students of different courses and nationalities. The participants thanked the organizers for an interesting and informative program.
