Arm wrestling is a fairly young sport in our country. Despite its youth, armwrestling has gained recognition from various segments of the population for its entertainment. Over time, the popularity of this sport in Kazakhstan has not stopped growing. Hand wrestling involves the presence of high strength qualities, especially the muscles and ligaments of the forearms, hands and biceps. But strength is still not the main thing in arm wrestling. Technical knowledge and specific training are of great importance. Sometimes athletes who look inferior to their opponents win in a duel.
On March 5, 2025, under the leadership of the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases, a tournament was held at the “Semey Medical University”, NCJSC among students of the curatorial groups of the 3rd year in the specialty “Medicine”. Teachers: head of the department, associate professor Amrenova K.Sh., associate professor Zhazykbayeva L.K., associate professor Tokabayev A.K., assistants Kaidarova S.B., Amangalieva G.M., Rakymgazieva A.S. supported their students. Students 2218, 3120, 3317, 3525, 2526, 3103, 3440 groups specializing in Medicine took an active part in the competition. 34 students participated in the competition.
1st place was taken by Kumargali Olzhas (3317 group “Medicine”)
2nd place was taken by Alexey Nekhoroshev (3526 group “Medicine”)
3rd place was taken by Samat Trusbekov (3317 group “Medicine”)
