On March 14, 2025, the Department of General Education Disciplines of the NCJSC «Semey Medical University», hosted a city subject Olympiad in the discipline “Information and Communication Technologies” dedicated to the 180th anniversary of Abay among students of medical colleges of the city of Semey. The main goal of the Olympiad was to form digital skills of future medical specialists, reveal their professional and personal potential, self-awareness, creativity, create conditions for self-realization and self-affirmation in the context of digitalization of medicine. The Olympiad began with a welcoming speech by the Dean of the School of Medicine Uzbekova S.E. and the Head of the Department of General Education Disciplines, Doctor of Political Sciences Urankhaeva G.T.

The Olympiad was attended by students of the State Higher Medical College named after D. Kalmatayev, health care institution of Abay region, Medical College «Semey», educational institution Higher Medical College «Avicenna». The Olympiad was held in two rounds. Round 1 was held in the form of an online test on “Information and Communication Technologies”. During the second round, the participants completed practical tasks in the application software MS’PowerPoint, MS’Excel, MS’Access, HTML, etc.

Based on the sum of the two rounds, the winners were determined:

Diploma of the 2nd degree – Khayrolla Timur Zhangazyuly ​​(Supervisor: Kurenova G.B., Medical College “Semey”), Koishybekova Aruzhan Dastanovna (Supervisor: Kyykbaeva E.K., State Higher Medical College named after D. Kalmatayev)

Diploma of the 3rd degree – Kanybekova Amina Kanabekkyzy (Supervisor: Sovetkhanova Azamat Meyrashevich, Medical College “Avicenna”), Amirkhan Bekzat Bolatkanuly (Head: Kurenova GB, Medical College “Semey”), Manarbekova Aigerim Nurbulankyzy (Head: Kairatov KA, State Higher Medical College named after D. Kalmatayev)

The winners were awarded diplomas. For active participation, all participants were awarded certificates.
