The staff of the University Library, as part of the March holiday cycle, held an educational hour for groups No. 1104 and 1106 of first-year students on the topics “Nauryz Holiday – a node of knowledge and understanding” on the occasion of the holiday of Nauryz, “Inexhaustible warmth, Motherhood – greatness” and “Nauryz Holiday – a node of knowledge and understanding”.
The festive event was organized to highlight the significance of March 8, a day of gratitude that embodies the friendship, kindness, and harmony between the peoples of a multinational country, Mother’s Day, and to instill spiritual values in young people, thereby fostering a national spirit and nurturing a patriotic personality who can combine national values with common human values.
During the event, students were shown a video about the history of these holidays and the lives of famous women of Kazakh origin.
A pleasant atmosphere was created by dancing the folk dance Kara Zhorga with the students, and the participants were divided into four groups and given various tasks related to national traditions. The young people participating in the event tried to find answers to questions about national values, relating them to their professions. In order to revive forgotten customs in the minds of young people, various specially prepared questions were asked, and small prizes were awarded to those who found the answers.
At the end of the informative hour, the students provided feedback and shared their impressions. The closeness and interest of the young people in national traditions can be seen in the first-year students Nuriahmet Aibek asking for a Nauryz blessing, and Bekenov Alikhan giving a blessing.
We would like to thank the teachers of the Department of General Education Sergazina Gulzhan Maksutovna and Amanbekova Nurgul Daiyrovna for their participation in the event.
