Nauryz is not just a spring holiday, but also a symbol of rebirth, renewal and harmony between man and nature. It has ancient roots and has been celebrated for over 5 thousand years. In Kazakh culture, this day is called “Ulystyn uly kuni”, and since 2010 it has been officially recognized by the UN as the International Day of Nauryz.
This year, at the initiative of the President of Kazakhstan, the holiday is being held in a new format of Nauryznam – a ten-day program of events reflecting the richness of the national culture, traditions and main spiritual values of the Kazakh people.
Our university did not remain aloof from this program. On March 17, 2025, departments, including our department of “Biochemistry and Chemical Disciplines named after MD, Professor S.O. Tapbergenov” had one of the formats of Nauryznama “Day of Culture of National Traditions”, in which 5th-year students of group 502 “Pharmacy” took part.
The final year students had wonderful, unforgettable impressions from this holiday. They learned a lot of useful things about national traditions, added rituals and cultures to their stock of knowledge.
