Class hour dedicated to the holiday of Nauryz for foreign students of groups 431 and 432

As part of the cultural exchange and in-depth acquaintance with the traditions of Kazakhstan at the Semey Medical University, assistants of the Department of Surgical Disciplines in the discipline of Urology held a fascinating and informative class hour for foreign students of groups 431 and 432, dedicated to the Nauryz holiday. This ancient holiday symbolizes the beginning of the new year and the revival of nature, filled with centuries-old traditions that unite the peoples of Central Asia.

Students learned about the history and significance of Nauryz, traditions and rituals associated with this holiday. Students also got acquainted with the entertainment, games and competitions held on this wonderful spring holiday, and a discussion was organized on the cultural features and importance of Nauryz for the Kazakh people.

Particular attention was paid to the preparation of traditional Nauryz dishes. Students learned about the symbolism of each dish that is traditionally prepared on this day and took part in a blitz survey on knowledge of the ingredients and recipes for preparing festive dishes.

“It was very interesting for us to learn about such an important and significant holiday for Kazakhstan. It was not only educational, but also a very fun event that helped us better understand the culture and traditions of local residents,” the students shared their impressions.

The event contributed to strengthening intercultural communication and understanding among students, creating an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding. It was also a great opportunity for foreigners to better adapt to life in Kazakhstan and feel part of its multifaceted cultural environment.

We are confident that such events contribute to the harmonious development and deepening of knowledge about Kazakhstan, and also strengthen ties between students from different countries.
