On March 20, 2025, a festive event celebrating Nauryz was held at the Department of Neurology, Ophthalmology, and Otorhinolaryngology of the Non-Commercial Joint Stock Company “Semey Medical University.” Students of the “General Medicine” specialty from groups 5423 and 5436 took part in the event.

The event was opened by the Head of the Department, Rinat Muratovich Bikbaev, who congratulated the attendees on the Nauryz holiday. During the celebration, students performed songs and competed in traditional Kazakh games such as asyk atu and arm wrestling. In addition, one of the oldest Kazakh customs, the tusau kesu ceremony, was performed.

International students also actively participated in the event, sharing the traditions of their countries with the audience. One of them performed a traditional dance from their homeland, receiving enthusiastic applause from the spectators. At the end of the event, participants enjoyed dishes from Kazakh and Indian cuisine, concluding the evening in a warm and festive atmosphere. Students expressed their best wishes for Nauryz and highlighted the significance of the holiday.

This event made a significant contribution to strengthening friendship and unity among university students while also promoting the national values of the Kazakh people.
