On March 18, as part of a student project of the Department of Biochemistry and Chemical Disciplines, second-year student of the Medical University Amina Kuanashkanova (group 2121, specialty “Medicine”) held an information and preventive talk for students of KSU “Semey Secondary School #1 named after N.G. Chernyshevsky”. The topic of the lecture concerned thyroid diseases – one of the most common pathologies of this organ. The main goal of the event was to familiarize schoolchildren with the signs of these diseases and methods of their prevention. Thyroid diseases can pose a serious threat to health, as they often lead to chronic disorders that affect metabolism and overall physical activity. It is important to note that the incidence of these diseases continues to grow every year, which makes early diagnosis and prevention especially important. The presentation aroused great interest among schoolchildren, many of whom asked questions, which Amina was happy to answer. As part of the event, the student also held a career guidance talk, talking about the possibilities of entering medical schools and choosing a profession in the field of medicine. At the end of the lecture, all those present were given leaflets on the prevention of thyroid diseases. Scientific supervisor Olzhayeva R.R., student of group 2121 Amina Kuanashkanova
