The Regional Museum of History and Local Lore of Semey is one of the oldest museum in Kazakhstan, which plays an important role in preserving and popularizing the cultural heritage of the region. With a rich scientific library of 34 thousand rare editions, the museum is a real treasury of knowledge, where unique documents, maps and works of researchers are kept. The museum’s exhibition covers a wide range of topics including paleontology, archaeology, history and ethnography, as well as important events such as the Alash movement and the years of the Great Patriotic War.
On March 14, 2025 students of group 5331 of specialty “General Medicine” together with the curator Tukinova Assel Rishatovna visited the Regional History and Local Lore Museum of Semey city to get acquainted with the rich historical and cultural heritage of the region. During the excursion the students learned about rare editions kept in the scientific library of the museum, as well as about various expositions covering the topics of paleontology, archeology and history of the city. The visit to the museum was not only informative, but also an inspiring experience, contributing to the deepening of knowledge.
