The Semey Regional Museum of History and Local Lore is one of the oldest museums in Kazakhstan, playing a key role in preserving and popularizing the cultural heritage of the region. With its rich scientific library of 34,000 rare publications, the museum is a real treasure trove of knowledge with unique documents, maps and works of researchers. The exposition covers a wide range of topics, including paleontology, archaeology, history and ethnography, as well as important events such as the Alash movement and the Great Patriotic War.
On March 14, 2025, students of group 431 of the specialty “General Medicine” under the guidance of curator Tukinova Assel Rishatovna visited this museum to get acquainted with the rich historical and cultural heritage of the region. During the excursion students learned about rare editions kept in the scientific library, as well as various expositions concerning paleontology, archeology and history of the city. The visit to the museum was not only informative, but also an inspiring experience, contributing to the deepening of knowledge.
