Participants: students of group 3513 OM.
Curator Almagambetova A.A. delivered a welcoming speech to the 3rd-year students of the Semey Medical University. In her speech, she highlighted the fact that the prevention of gender-based violence includes a comprehensive approach aimed at preventing violence in various forms, including domestic violence. In the speech, it was noted that the prevention of violence requires both legal and psychosocial measures aimed at creating a safe environment for all family members. Particular attention is paid to criminal law and criminological aspects that contribute to the establishment of liability for crimes in the field of domestic violence.
The issue of the value of parental legal relations and the importance of protecting the rights of children and women in the context of domestic violence was also raised. Various legislative acts, such as the “Law on the Prevention of Domestic Violence”, which protect the rights of victims and mechanisms for ensuring their safety through human rights organizations and law enforcement agencies, were considered.
The students were introduced to legal instruments for protecting victims of violence, as well as the role of health workers in identifying and providing first aid to victims. Emphasis was placed on the importance of timely seeking help and on actions that can prevent domestic violence.
During the curatorial hour, students actively participated in the discussion, asked questions and received answers about the practical aspects of the work of specialists in the field of prevention of gay violence. This allowed them to better understand the role of medical and psychological services in such situations. In conclusion, an important aspect was emphasized: the prevention of gender-based violence should be based on education and informing society about legal mechanisms of protection, as well as the consequences of violent actions in the family.
