Increasing public commitment to vaccination: a master class

The problem of vaccination refusals is currently very relevant. In some regions of Kazakhstan, it reaches 86%. These are very low numbers. Only when we reach 95% of the population’s immunization coverage can we achieve a reduction in vaccine-preventable infections. Unfortunately, many parents currently refuse vaccination, not fully understanding the dangers of these diseases. They don’t think about the consequences of complications after them. For example, few people know that after suffering measles and rubella, the child’s immune system cannot adequately protect him for six months, so the risk of developing secondary infections remains high. The solution to vaccination problems should be through education and information. An important step is to refute myths and false data about vaccinations through the media, medical institutions and social networks. In order to raise public awareness about the benefits of vaccination, a master class was held on 03/15/2025 for medical workers of the City Polyclinic No. 2 in Ust-Kamenogorsk. Discussions were used as part of the master class. The master class was organized and conducted under the guidance of the head of the Department of GMP of Semey, SMU “NCJSC”, MD, Professor A.A. Dyusupova and the assistant of the department, pediatrician of the highest category, T.I. Terekhova.
