On April 4, 2025, Semey Medical University, NCJSC hospitably opened its doors to its potential students, graduates of schools in Semey and three regions: Abay, Pavlodar and East Kazakhstan region. The total number of guests was 505 people.
Volunteers from among the university students warmly greeted the guests from the very threshold, not letting them get lost, escorted them to the assembly hall, distributed information brochures and ensured a good mood. The event began with a formal part, where Vice-Rector for Academic and Educational Work Smailova Zhanargul Kairgalievna made a welcoming speech and an introductory presentation.
The next speech was by the head of the Department of Physiological Disciplines named after the Honored Scientist of the Republic of Kazakhstan T. A. Nazarova, Rakhyzhanova Saule Oryngazyevna, who wished schoolchildren to make the right choice in the world of professions.
Throughout the event, on the second floor, future students, as well as their parents and teachers, were able to get acquainted with the educational programs of Semey Medical University, NCJSC at the Fair of Educational Programs, during which department staff and representatives of student government held presentations and talked about their future profession, demonstrated practical skills that can be obtained within each specialty. Each guest talked to students representing their specialty and received answers to all questions of interest.
The next step was a tour, where the graduates got acquainted with the campus and the space of the university, visited thematic rooms, the M. Mametova Museum, the library, the military training department, the anatomical museum, and the educational and clinical center.
At the final part of the Open Day, in the assembly hall of the Semey Medical University, NCJSC, Vice-Rector for Academic and Educational Work Smailova Zhanargul Kairgalievna and Vice-Rector for Science and Strategic Development Shabdarbaeva Dariya Muratovna presented letters of gratitude to representatives of schools.
To promote the Semey Medical University, NCJSC page on Instagram, a competition for the best story was held, following which the 20 best stories were awarded prizes in the form of branded university products.
And the day ended with a fiery concert, where students from India performed.
