From April 2 to April 4, 2025, the team of our university took part in the International Student Olympiad in Medicine, held in the Kyrgyz Republic. The Olympiad brought together students of medical universities in Central Asia, providing a unique opportunity to demonstrate knowledge, practical skills and teamwork in conditions close to clinical practice. As part of the Olympiad, participants competed in various fields: therapy, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, nursing, anesthesiology and intensive care, and others. I am particularly pleased to note that our team has won a landslide victory in the Nursing nomination, demonstrating a high level of training, teamwork and practical competence in providing patient care in a simulation scenario. The delegation was led by the head of the Department of Simulation Technologies, PhD, Associate Professor D.A. Mukanova and the head teacher of the department, Zh.I. Smagulova. Participation in such events strengthens international relations, develops clinical thinking and allows students to improve in their future profession. We would like to thank the organizers of the Olympiad, as well as the teachers and mentors who prepared the team for a worthy performance.
