Curatorial hour “Corruption prevention Event”

On 04/14/2025, a curatorial hour was held at the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology on the topic: “Measures to prevent corruption.”

The purpose of the meeting is aimed at the legal education of students, the expansion of knowledge in the field of law, legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the formation of an anti-corruption worldview, to form students’ understanding of corruption, legal self-awareness.

A.A. Almagambetova, assistant of the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology, curator of the 3513 group, made a welcoming speech to the 3rd year students of Semey Medical University. In her speech, she highlighted that the main objectives of the event were to ensure the legal competence of students in the field of anti–corruption legislation; the development of critical thinking, broadening the horizons of students, the ability to express and defend an active civic position in matters of overcoming corruption; prevention of anti-corruption and antisocial behavior, formation of an anti-corruption worldview, intolerance to various forms of corruption.

The anti-corruption culture is an integral part of the general culture and is of a regulatory nature, aimed at a specific result – the obligatory fulfillment by the student of the norms of behavior in society, which, in fact, is a moral position.

The students actively engaged in discussions, had a free-form discussion and asked questions. At the end of the meeting, the students noted that they had gained knowledge about various legal norms and the assimilation of values.
