Dyusembaev Azat Anuarbekovich – Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Pediatric Surgery and Orthopedics of the SMU, NCJSC.

He graduated from high school in Semipalatinsk with a silver medal and entered the Semipalatinsk Medical Institute. In 1970, he graduated with honors from the university and was sent as a surgeon to the Beskaragay District Hospital, where he worked for two years. From 1972 to 1974 – a surgeon in the medical unit of the Karaganda Metallurgical Plant, from 1974-1977 – a postgraduate student of the Department of Surgery at the Tashkent Institute for Advanced Medical Studies. In 1978, he successfully defended his PhD dissertation in Moscow on the topic “Suprasternal paratracheal novocaine block in the treatment of concussion.”

From 1978 to 1985, an assistant, since 1986 an associate professor at the Department of Traumatology of the SSMI. In 1989, he entered the doctoral program at the Central Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics named after N.N. Pirogov in Moscow and in 1991 defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic of “Complex treatment of closed diaphyseal fractures of tubular bones.”

From 1993 to 1994, he was a professor of the department, and from 1994 to 2016, he was the head of the department of pediatric surgery at the Semey State Medical University.

From 1994 to 2004, he was a member of the Dissertation Council for the defense of doctoral dissertations in traumatology, from 2004 to 2011, a member of the specialized council for the defense of candidate and doctoral dissertations at the Semey State Medical University.

He was the scientific supervisor of three candidate, two master’s and one doctoral (PhD) dissertations, and repeatedly acted as an opponent of dissertators. Currently works as a professor at the Department of Pediatric Surgery and Orthopedics at the SMU, NCJSC. Has 50 years of medical experience, 43 years of teaching experience.

His scientific and practical work is devoted to the problems of treating craniocerebral injuries and damage to the musculoskeletal system. Methods of using hidden reserves of the mechanism for treating severe injuries and restoring motor functions are described by Azat Anuarbekovich Dyusembaev in more than 140 articles and monographs. His treatment method is widely used in Moscow, Kharkov, Saratov. He has performed more than a thousand operations to save children’s lives. The author of more than 180 scientific papers, 42 inventions, co-authored one monograph, several teaching aids and a textbook on pediatric surgery in the state language.

Azat Anuarbekovich performed all types of surgical interventions. Participates in morning conferences, weekly rounds in departments, provides consulting assistance to the children’s population in the East Kazakhstan region.

The lectures and practical classes given by Azat Anuarbekovich are held at a fairly high pedagogical and scientific-methodical level, and meet the modern requirements of higher education.
