Maukayeva Saule Boranbaevna graduated from the medical faculty of SSMI with honors in 1989. From 1989 to 1991 she studied in clinical residency at the Department of Infectious Diseases. After completing her residency, she worked as an assistant, since 2008 as an assistant professor at the Department of Infectious Diseases, from 2018 to 2022 — Head of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Immunology, since 2022 — Associate Professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases, Dermatovenereology and Immunology. In 2001 she defended her Ph.D. thesis on the topic “Associations of antigens of the HLA system with clinical and immunological manifestations and the effectiveness of the treatment of salmonellosis” in the specialties 14.00.36 – immunology and allergology, 14.00.10 – infectious diseases. From 2007 to 2010 she studied at the doctoral level. In 2006 she graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the branch of the University “Kainar”.
Actively conducts research activities, including with students of all levels. He is the author of 400 scientific papers, 7 rationalization proposals, 15 teaching aids, 1 monograph, 1 patent. Hirsch index WoS – 2.
Doctor-infectionist of the highest category. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she worked in the “red zone”, consulted patients in person and in absentia, conducted seminars, examined case histories, and appeared on television.
S. B. Maukayeva constantly undergoes advanced training in her specialty and in medical education in the Republic of Kazakhstan and abroad. In 2005 and 2007 participated in medical seminars on infectious diseases in Salzburg. In 2010, she took part in the work of the 7th Asia-Pacific Conference on Medical Education in Singapore, in 2011 she completed an internship in infectious diseases in Vienna (Austria), in 2016 she completed an internship in Lithuania under the Bolashak program, in 2017 – in Israel. In 2018, under the academic mobility program, she was at Bashkent University (Ankara), in 2019 – at the Ryazan Medical University. Organizes and conducts advanced training courses, master classes in infectious pathology and medical education, during a pandemic – online. She made presentations in Russia, Georgia, Turkey.
She worked as an executive secretary of the state attestation commission of the medical faculty, magistracy, faculty of “General Medicine”, chairman of the CEP for postgraduate education, secretary of the Clinical Council. Constantly a member of the working groups for the introduction of innovations in the educational process, a member of the CEP. From 2010 to 2012 she worked as Deputy Dean of the Foreign Department. According to the results of the ranking for research work for 2010, she became the “Best Teacher”, according to the results of the university ranking from 2010-2011 to 2016-2017 is the “Best Associate Professor”, won first place in the competition “Best Lecturer” in 2011-2012, 2014-2015, second place in the competition “Best Lecturer” in 2012-2013, 2013-2014, second place in the competition “Best Video Lecture” in 2012-2013. In 2020, 2021 she received a certificate in the nomination “The Best Scientist of the Year”, “The Best Results of the Science Rating of Heads of Departments in 2020”. Participated as an expert in specialized residency accreditation at the MUA in 2016, KazNMU in 2021. He is an expert in test tasks, an infectious disease expert.
