Department of Quality Control (assurance) of Medical Education was established in May 2019 after approving organizational structure Semey Medical University, Non-Commercial Joint Stock Company. Its main task is monitoring of educational processes in university and its branches for their continued improving.
The main directions of office’s activity are:
- Development and implementation complex procedure of program evaluation for their quality improving.
- Preparation and support process specialized accreditation.
- Monitoring of educational programs development processes.
- Monitoring of educational programs realization processes.
- Analyzing of match assessment tools with set learning outcomes.
- Analysis of degree of achievement by students of learning outcomes.
Responsibilities of the office are being realized through closely collaboration with dean’s offices, departments, academic committee and its parts (educational programs committee, student assessment and evaluation committee), student government.
Methodical work and practice
The main goal of the department is planning, organizing and conducting the practice of students in all areas of training (specialties).
The main task is to organize work to consolidate, deepen, improve, systematize the theoretical knowledge of students obtained in the learning process in order to acquire the practical skills they need in the future for independent professional activities, depending on the profile of training.
Main functions:
- Organization and planning of professional practice.
- Preparation of draft orders, orders on issues of professional practice.
- Conclusion of contracts with bases of practice.
- Advisory assistance to managers and teachers of practice on the organization of practice.
- Carrying out consulting work with students on the conclusion of individual agreements with medical bases for internships.
- Control over the timeliness of the development and reissue of work programs for practice, guidelines for practice.
- Monitoring the passage of practice.
