History of the Department
Postgraduate specialization was created in 1971. Since 1999 to 2002 functions of the internship and internship department were combined and performed by the internship and internship department. According to the Order №164 of SSMU from 08.09.2009 Dean Office for Internship was created. Post graduated Dean Office was organized in 10.09.2012 by №154 rector’s order and internship, residence and master degree were included. Since 03.06.2019 Dean Office was transformed to School of post graduated education.
Tasks
- Monitoring the activities of teachers of departments attached to the School (timely implementation of the curriculum for the discipline, timely / correct completion of relevant documentation, etc.).
- Monitoring, evaluation of educational progress.
- Conducting work with interns and residents
- Drafting, execution of orders, orders on transfer, expulsion from the university, admission to university of interns and residents.
Functions
- Accounting of students’ academic performance, organization of additional educational services in accordance with the main educational programs;
- Record keeping;
- participates in the work of various commissions and working groups by order of the Deputy Chairman of the Board for Clinic and Postgraduate Education of “Semey Medical University” NCJSC;
- Control of the examination session procedure, monitors exam results;
- transfer students from course to course;
- together with a specialist in academic mobility and international cooperation, carries out planning, organization of internal and external academic mobility of interns and residents;
- interacts with the Accounting and Reporting Department on monitoring payment by residents for the provision of educational services;
- organizes a week of retake during the examination session;
- analyzes the results of intermediate and final certification of students;
- participates in the organization of intermediate, final certification of students;
- carries out work on preparation for the SAC.
